German Sparkly Collection - Adult Quail

The German Sparkly Collection is a large collection of plumages that can interbreed in a colony to serve as a dual purpose meat and egg line. The collection originates from the original 2019 German import between William Carl Foster (USA) and Kai Peppler (Germany). They have an excellent laying ability, producing 12-16 gram eggs, and finishing at 10-14 ounces in weight, sometimes more and are exceptionally docile. 

At Southwest Gamebirds, we have selected birds for size and temperament, setting the standard in the industry for temperament using criteria developed at our farm. As a result, this collection is an excellent choice for children, or for those looking to interact with their quail. 

What to expect: All birds will have Sparkly plumage - combined with one or more of the following mutations: Fawn, Fee, Roux, and Ginger. Many of these mutations will interact with each other in unique ways, and form a large variety of patterns, tones, and shades, making it one of the most striking plumage collections available.

The breeding quintet includes four (4) females and one (1) male, which is our recommended ratio for breeding.  The displayed price for the breeding quintet is for five (5) birds, and the displayed price for males and females is per bird.
